Transmission Suite: Same Glue

Last month Transmission Suite made a comeback with their single ‘Same Glue.’ Originally debuted live at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, the new track blends the band’s classic 80s synthwave with vivid 90s indie-dance energy. 

The four-piece from Stirling have built up a steady name for themselves over the last few years. The band supported Flock of Seagulls in Glasgow back in 2023 and also Man of Moon. Their breakout year in 2024 continued into 2025, with the band releasing their debut album ‘Resonate.’ The debut was celebrated with a headline show in their hometown and then followed up with a support slot for Northside at Glasgow’s King Tut’s Wah Wah Hut. 

Transmission Suite have carefully crafted their sound through the years and they’ve become clear in their identity. Atmospheric synths, rhythmic basslines alongside drum machines and chiming guitars layered underneath melodic vocals have become central to the band. They sit comfortable between the LCD Soundsystem and the uplifting spirit found amongst The Stone Roses and The Charlatans. ‘Same Glue’ seems to be the result of the band’s upwards trajectory. 

Recorded at Green Door Studios in Glasgow, the track submerges the listener into textured synths and pulsing rhythms, pulling them into 80s nostalgia. There is a careful balance between a dancefloor beat and a deeper atmospheric feel. The sound merges with the lyrics, synths and vocals blending seamlessly. The track centres around the line ‘we’re all walking through the same glue’ and it effortlessly captures the reality of shared struggles. The song’s lyrics give way to understanding how modern life comes with pressures and uncertainties. 

Transmission Suite have solidified their sound with ‘Same Glue’ and it provides an exciting anticipation for what is next from them.
