Hope is sewn into the heart of Fox’s music, and it all comes together on his debut EP Everybody’s in Love. The EP furthers the themes and instrumentation explored in his previously released singles Together and Rome. It’s a solidifying moment for Fox, showcasing he has indeed found his identity as an artist.

Echo magazine was first introduced to Fox when his single Rome was released back in April. Since then he’s jumped to 20k monthly listeners on spotify, released his debut EP, started his first headline tour and achieved the BBC Radio Wales Welsh A-List playlist for two consecutive weeks.

Everybody’s in Love released at the end of May, the same night Fox’s headline tour started. The EP builds on acoustic instrumentation and emotive lyrics and transforms into an indie-rock record. Across the four tracks various social commentaries are made in relation to elitism, billionaires and the unsteadiness of the world right now. However, the EP is devoted to capturing the feelings of connection and companionship despite all this. Everybody’s in Love manages to pick out the best parts of human connection while acknowledging it exists in an imperfect world.

The EP kicks off with Together, a story of trying to escape judgment and find belonging. With the track being filled with 2000’s indie rock nostalgia, it leaves you on a high, which is picked up by the EP’s next track Rome. An indie-rock anthem that is driven by soaring guitars and powerful vocals. Anywhere with you continues the escapism storytelling found in Together, and really drives home the themes of companionship that overarches the EP.

The final track is Everybody's in Love, which becomes the standout on the EP. Turning to a more earnest note, reflecting on the importance of connection that dives into a confessional piece of music. The title-track understands the value of love within our world and is bold in its craving for it.

Everybody’s in Love has a genuine human feel to it. It’s a fully developed project that hits the marks of everything it’s trying to achieve. Finding the love between individuals within the world, the EP holds it up as a symbol of hope. It is a beautiful debut EP and has grounded Fox’s identity as a confident musician and sincere song-writer.
